MICROGRID

What is a Microgrid?

The U.S. Department of Energy's official definition of a microgrid is "a group of interconnected

loads and distributed energy resources within clearly defined electrical boundaries that acts as

a single controllable entity with respect to the grid."

Using Enerpower language, a microgrid is a clean energy producing system that replaces all or

part of the energy you currently purchase from your utility.

Using the latest Solar PV technology combined with intelligent battery storage, our commercial

and industrial clients are able to operate in “island” mode for resiliency and achieve grid

neutrality.

The ultimate goal of an Enerpower implemented microgrid would be to allow our clients to

reduce or eliminate dependence on your utility while showing an acceptable return on the

investment.

Benefits of a Microgrid

Energy Cost Savings.  Offset the double-digit rising cost of energy.

Reliable delivery of energy.  With grid overload and interruptions, provides high quality and reliable energy as resilience for critical loads.

Stores energy for immediate use or as arbitrage to sell back to utility.

Renewable source of energy with zero emissions means positive environmental impact.
